Ch-ch-ch-changes!

Why am I still amazed at the overwhelmingly-generous response from the blogging community whenever I ask for help? You'd think I'd have learned by now how awesome y'all are!

I thoroughly read through every comment, and, after weighing the pros and cons, decided: I'm going to Wordpress! Yay! I'm so excited; I already imported my blog, and it looks much more organized in the new format. I've got big things planned for Baby Blog, including...

My first-ever chocolate-covered GIVEAWAY! Get excited; it's a big one (well, not as big as a Vitamix, but let's face it-- nothing is).

I'm also working on Wordpress pages, which will hopefully make it much easier to navigate through all the chocolate-covered recipes I've posted over the past few years.

Sorry I've been MIA on all your blogs. Making a new blog is time-consuming, but once it's all up and running, I can hopefully comment on more of your posts. Please know I'm still reading!

As I've said before: I appreciate everyone who takes the time to leave me a comment on my blog, so it's only fair for me to return the favor.

If anyone has a question for the FAQ page, send it my way (either in a comment on this post or in an email). Thanks bunches and bunches!

Chocolate-Covered Song of the Day
Man! I Feel Like a Woman
(Shania Twain-- she's apparently a vegetarian!)

It was wiiiiiiindy out there this morning. (Whoever dubbed Chicago the "Windy City" had obviously never been to Dallas.) But listening to songs like the one above enabled me to have a fun run regardless.

Chocolate-Covered Meal of the Day

Lunchies (yesterday) consisted of a huge bowl of veggies and bulgur. Poor bulgur is shy and didn't want his picture taken, so he hid under a Veggie Blanket. I covered the big mess of deliciousness with some Three-Ingredient Alfredo Sauce. (Yes, I still use agar. I like the finicky little guys! But I bet the sauce could be made using silken tofu instead.)

A banana and a small glass of my fave ricemilk completed the sumptuous ensemble.

To Wordpress or not to Wordpress, that is the Question

I bet Hamlet never had to make such a tough decision!

For a while now, I’ve been debating whether or not to switch over to Wordpress. It seems like Wordpress enables bloggers to be better organized (for example, it offers bloggers the ability to create separate pages and categories, like “About” or “Recipes”). Wordpress also seems to offer more features.

Finally, I'm thinking Wordpress *must* be better, since I don’t know of any bloggers who have switched from Wordpress to Blogger!

.
For those of you who switched from Blogger to Wordpress, was it worth it? Did you lose readers in the switch? Are you happy with your decision?

.
To everyone else: Would it be a big pain if I switched? Would you remember to update your google readers, or would my blog get lost in oblivion?

.
All opinions/thoughts are welcome!!! (Seriously—I want to know what everyone thinks!)

Cream of Wheat? Nope, it's Cream of Kamut!

I'm so behind in commenting. But that's old news; do I even need to say it anymore? If you haven't heard from me in a while, please don't be mad! I'm trying to catch up, but I have about 100 comments to respond to (not to mention a real, non-blog life to live), so it may be a while!

No one likes a whiney blogger, though, so let's get to more fun things... like blended grain pudding!

When I posted about my encounters with the Eden grains (spelt flakes and kamut flakes), a few readers asked if these grains were as dense/filling/creamy as oats. My answer: Sadly, no. They're good; don't get me wrong. But the kamut and spelt flakes are just--for lack of a better word--flimsy in comparison to those marvelous oats.
.
It was only a matter of time before, in an attempt to make these grains creamier and more filling, I subjected the flakes to my favorite cooking method/gadget--The Creamifier
Dun Dun Dun!

Chocolate-Covered Meal of the Day
The meal of the day is for today's Second Breakfast. Last night, I made up one and a half servings of kamut flakes (a.k.a. 60 grams instead of 40-- I like me a BIG bowl of grains). I added quite a bit of cinnamon and used the melted-banana trick. Then I subjected the grains to my now-famous Blended Grains' Technique.

This morning, upon my return from a chilly run, the gorgeous grain pudding was waiting for me.
I poured on a pool of warm almond milk and basked in the deliciousness.

Blend, Baby, Blend

Taking an almond-milk bath (It's good for the skin, haven't ya heard?)

And in true chocolate-covered fashion, I devoured some Dark Chocolate Dreams alongside the blended kamut pudding.

Perfection.

Happy Saturday to all. And to all, a good night!

No time for a long post tonight; I'm too busy trying to decide what should be today's Flavor of the Day ;o).

Actually, I'm rushing off because I'm going out dancing! (If only every night were Saturday night...) What are all of you lovely people up to this Saturday? Going on a hot date? Stayin' in with the girls? Hiding out in your kitchen with your blender, making pudding?
Admit it; I know that's what you're all really doing!!

Before I leave, I just have to say that it was super-exciting to get so many comments, on my last post, from readers who don’t have blogs! It’s always fun to see comments from new people, so thanks!!

You'll probably think I'm nuts, but I actually really like anonymous comments-- even mean ones. They're so mysterious!
.
In response to all of your questions/comments, I wrote the next Great American Novel (hopefully not as boring as that title suggests!) at the end of the comment-section of that post, so be sure to check it out!
